These systems aren't subject to leaks since there's no fluids to leak in the first place. While it's true that the fluid systems can run from $6-$12 a square foot, I outfitted my garage (an easier retrofit than hot water tubing) for about $3.50 a square foot and I live in a cold climate! Not all radiant heating systems rely on tubing and fluids to distribute heat. These systems aren’t subject to leaks since there’s no fluids to leak in the first place.

I bought my radiant heating system from a company in Vermont called Radiantec. My contractor and I installed it before the concrete was poured.
