Here's a corner shot of my garage, which indeed is a work in progress. As you can see, I love putting things on the walls and not on the floor. :)
I recently added the carpet so when I go through the interior door to the garage, I can get to the shoe rack, coat rack, refrigerator, and work area without walking on concrete. My wife actually likes this concept more than I do, but I'm learning to appreciate it more and more as time goes by.

Nice... Very Nice... Lets see some more pics :D
The floor looks like it has large tiles, you said its just paint right?

Thanks.
Someday, I'm going to get a better camera and I'll add more pics as I complete more projects. I have a lot of ideas in mind.
I guess the floor kind of does look like tiles in the picture. But nope, it's just the 1-part epoxy paint. Some of it may look a little like 2-tone, because I've used both Behr and Seal Krete slate gray for maintenance, and the Seal Krete product is slightly lighter than the Behr product. It doesn't really bother me though.

I love the shoe rack right next to the door! I think I'm going to have to copy that idea.

lyriccb..
I'm glad you like the idea. I wasn't sure how I'd like it at first, but I've been liking it more and more with time. It's nice to have some extra space in the closet inside. :) Any old bookcase works great, or you can add shelves by the door as well.
Here's a bigger pic.

You have some great ideas for your garage. It would be nice being able to leave your shoes and coat in the garage and pick it up there as you leave. It seems like it would be much more convenient.

Oh wow, I didn't even realize that it was a bookcase, that's brilliant! Probably cheaper to buy than a shoe rack too!

Thank you all for the nice responses. I'm working on some new ideas as well, and I'll share them once they're implemented. I try to think of garage organization in frugal terms, as money is tight these days. I'm always looking for things like old kitchen cabinets, shelves, organizer gadgets, and storage containers at garage sales or on Craig's List. Someone's junk can be someone else's treasure :)

I've slowly been drywalling the third car side of my garage. Here are some progress pictures...
