A few had asked about big bear choppers. I visited their show room up at Big Bear Lake - in California.
Their bikes are unreal and very affordable for what you get. I love hte pro streets (lower than the choppers). With my favorite being the one featured on their homepage: The Sled 300 (rear tire size) pro street.

What did you ride what? What happened? When?
I put down an R6 (Yamaha Sport Bike). Hit a dead rabbit when leaned over for a lane change at about 60MPH, scary but okay in the end.

we used to call them cafe racers, 750 Kawasaki, 3cylinder , 2 stroke , ported wiesco pistons and denco expansion chamers , When it would come into the power band it was real ugly , and god aweful fast. I came over a hill at full gallup and a car was stopped on the other side , so I had to put it down on its side in order to see the next day. I didnt scare me that bad but , after I knew my ticket one day would get punched . I walked away and after several years of full on in your face power , I decided to take myself out of it before I got taken out.

Haha, I hear you. Good old cafe racers.
What does this mean "after I knew my ticket one day would get punched"

I hadn't heard of Big Bear Choppers before, man they look nice. Seems like Cali has the market cornered on custom bikes.
Laying down my bike is always a fear. I've been very fortunate in traffic thus far, but then again, I don't go very fast, so I at least have a little more time to react. In fact, I won't have a fast bike because I know it'd be then end of me. Now, I have dropped my KLR 4 or 5 times, but each time I was doing about 5mph on terrain that big dual-sports really don't belong. I love the looks on pure dirt riders faces when they see my big old tanker with street lights and mirrors at the top of the trail. :D
