Hi,
I make electric slide gates on the side........i work as an engineer and came up with a way to make them. remote controls and all. I sell them for 650 - 700 bucks.
as most of you have seen my latest threads, My wife and I just purchased our 2nd home and we love it....
thought i would share my plans to make a metal framed/picket fence to match slide gate like the pictures shown.
u can see the video of my gate as well....
Anyone else have pics of their entry gates? post them up!?!

I opened my big mouth one day saying "yall should get a gate opener" and her parents responded - "you buy it".
from that point, it was up to me to make one or buy one...lol.......they love it...

Those slide gates look great. I have chain-link "Ghetto-gates" across my drive. I use them for the dogs, (doberman and boxer) but when I do the new building and driveway, I'm ditching them for something nicer. Do you do, or know of anyone who does swinging gates that are tough and look better than chain-link?

Hi,
if you want swing gates, the best thing i can tell you is to buy the the strongest heavy duty hinges you can find. and i mean, go to a local metal supply store that also carries hardware....or similar, look for heavy duty stuff...
u may wanna check out triple S steel, san antonio, tx, google it for their website.
the have a lot of hinge hardware.
I dont know anyone that does, makes swing gate openers..

This is my back yard slide gate:
This one isn't on my motor design cause it doesn't need it really, its not a high traffic gate like the driveway front gate but i thought i would share.
As you can see from the vid/pics, i park my car trailer hidden back there. I often find myself only opening it to get from my shed to my garage, etc..
Aerial pic is old - previous owner:
Shed isnt shown in aerial pic. and you can see previous owner had an above ground pool (we got rid of all that) and a truck parked back there. LOL..
